Where To Dine On New Year’s Eve in the South Bay

Fortunately, many restaurants across LA are featuring New Year’s Eve specials this year. Here’s where to enjoy a memorable meal with your special person on New Year’s Eve in the South Bay.

I appreciate Chef Scott Cooper because he develops exquisite New Year’s offerings without breaking the bank. Cooper features a three-course menu for only $65 (includes a glass of bubbly)! Guests will choose from a list of appetizers, entrees, and desserts with options such as a Peruvian Ensalata Mixta, Roasted Cauliflower with tahini sauce, Nomads’ infamous Hummus with Housemade Flatbread, and Butternut Squash Soup to start, followed by main entrees including Peruvian Adobo-Braised Lamb Shank, Crispy Whole Branzino, Chimichurri Steak Frites and Crispy Chile Relleno.

Strand House

Celebrate overlooking the iconic Manhattan Beach pier. Reserve your seat at their four-course dinner from 5 – 7:00 p.m. for $175 or their five-course dinner from 8 – 10:30 p.m. for $200 with optional wine pairings and entry to StrandBar’s Countdown Party! Enjoy selections such as Diver Scallops with bacon-wrapped enoki mushrooms, Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef, and Black Truffle & Lobster Risotto.

Fishing With Dynamite

Fishing With Dynamite will feature a three-course lunch and a four-course dinner prix fixe menu on Raw bar items will also be available al a carte. Their prix fixe lunch will be offered at $85/person, while dinner will be offered at $120/person. Dinner entrees include Sea Urchin Risotto, Pan Seared John Dory, and Seared Maine Diver Scallops.

The Arthur J

In addition to their regular menu, The Arthur J will provide specials such as Lobster Ravioli with yuzu-vermouth beurre blanc, Surf N Turf Beef Medallion with Butter Poached Lobster, and Pan Seared Mary’s Duck Breast with cranberry goat cheese bread pudding.

Rock N Fish

Enjoy Surf and Turf steps away from the beach ~ Filet Medallions & Jumbo shrimp served over truffle mashed potatoes and oak-grilled asparagus. It’s available only during dinner service from Friday, December 30 to Sunday, January 1. Their regular menu will also be available on NYE.

Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach

Want to impress? The Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach will feature a Far Niente and Jackson Family Wine pairing five-course dinner, including a performance by Grammy Nominated Cellist Tina Guo. Reception begins at 7 p.m. and the dinner will start promptly at 8 p.m. Reserve your $245 ticket on resy.com. Limited tickets are available.

Shade Hotel – Redondo Beach 

If you’re feeling nostalgic, the Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach will host a Once Upon A Time In Hollywood NYE celebration featuring a rooftop crooner’s lounge, burlesque performances, live-themed music, cocktails, and more! Bettolino Kitchen

Bettolino Kitchen is bringing back two of its favorites. Grilled Spanish octopus served with cannellini beans, sauteed baby spinach, fresh basil, lemon, and cherry tomatoes tossed in a garlic sauce, and Braised Wagyu beef cheek served with risotto, slow cooked with porcini and crimini mushrooms in a white wine sauce. Their regular menu will also be available.
