Where to Celebrate National Bacon Day in LA

December 28, 2021 by Bryan

This Thursday, Dec 30, is National Bacon Day and who doesn’t like bacon? Listed below is a round up of some of LA’s best offerings that feature bacon. Enjoy the unique ways bacon adds flavor and celebrate National Bacon Day!

Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits

The late Jonathan Gold said “No one can say no to this signature dish – a cheesy, meaty biscuit accompanied by a smear of maple butter.” Reportedly, vegans have cheated on their diet eating these heavenly biscuits. Pro tip: you can order these to go.

Bacon Fried Rice

For classic Japanese American comfort food, wander over to Gardena Bowl. There you will find island favorites like their Portuguese Sausage Mix or Hawaiian Royale. For National Bacon Day, enjoy their delicious Bacon Fried Rice with a couple of fried eggs.

Pizzeria Mozza’s Meat Lover’s pizza is one of their most popular items. It is loaded with lots of bacon, fennel sausage, salame, and guanciale.

Breakfast Burrito

Many don their hat to Lucky Boy in Pasadena for the best breakfast burrito in LA. After they grill the flour tortilla, they add in the eggs, potato, cheddar cheese, sausage and bacon, and the result becomes a lesson in simplicity.

Bacon Waffle

You wouldn’t expect to find a great eatery nestled among auto supply stores and a carniceria, but The Nest in Bellflower has been winning fans over the years. Among their popular dishes is the Bacon Waffle. Bacon bits are baked into the waffle and it is topped with a bacon whisky syrup.
