Redondo Beach Lobster Festival Returns This Weekend

On Friday evening, Sept. 22, the 22th Annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival returns to Seaside Lagoon. This popular event will bring 27,000 fresh Maine lobsters to the South Bay for dishes featuring the red crustacean. Craft beer, activities for the kids and live entertainment will be available all weekend long.

Not wishing to mess with a winning recipe, chef Jessica Jordan, (Fish Bar, Cream’wich) returns as chef of the Lobster Bistro. In addition to her popular lobster mac and cheese, she will offer lobster rolls, lobster quesadillas, lobster tacos, lobster corn chowder and lobster guacamole and chips.

Live music will take place throughout the weekend. Music performers include The English Beat and The Untouchables as well as other high energy bands. A complete list of the music lineup may be found here.

LA’s own Golden Road will be one of the craft beers poured that evening. Their Wolf Pup Session IPA is food friendly IPA that is hoppy and refreshing. A complete craft beer lineup may be found here.    

Free parking with shuttle service is available at Redondo Union HIgh School. Other options are available here. Uber & Lyft Pick and Drop off at 119 W. Torrance Blvd (Upper Pier Parking Lot).

Tickets for the event are currently available online and range from $5 to $80. Dinner tickets are also available for a separate cost and feature bistro access as well as classic Lobster meals. Saturday’s VIP lounge is sold out.

  • Friday, Sept. 22, 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 23, 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 24, 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
