Oktoberfest Events in LA

Fall is here and it’s time to drink outdoors without baking in the hot summer sun. Fortunately, LA has many offerings this month, not to mention the many Oktoberfests that take place. Following is a roundup of LA and OC beer festivals. Be sure to take advantage before tickets sell out!

Hours: 6 p.m. to midnight

Fairplex at Pomona

Bust out your lederhosen and get ready to party, Bavarian style, at Oktoberfest at the Fairplex. Bring your appetite and a group of friends for a night chock-full of oom-pah music, the Chicken Dance, authentic German food and, of course, plenty of beer.

The Garden at the Intercontinental
The Garden at the Intercontinental

Local, Bold & Social Brewfest at InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills

Nestled in bustling Century City is a stunning outdoor courtyard located at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City. Best known as LA’s top outdoor wedding venue, the courtyard will transform into a beautiful beer garden. Attendees will experience live music, unlimited local beers, German-inspired bites including pretzels, pickles, potato salad, sauerkraut, brats and more. Tickets purchased by Oct 11 are only $45 per person; at the door, they are $60 per person. Purchasing information is available on their Eventbrite page.

Octubrefest at Smorgasburg LA

Join LA’s foodies at Smorgasburg LA for their 3rd annual Octubrefest. The event features a Latin twist on the traditional brats and steins replaced with chorizo and Mega-Micheladas, polka replaced with cumbia, and huaraches instead of clogs! El Segundo Brewing Co. will pour their Cerveza Fresca Juicy IPA (think agua fresca!)

Hours: Fridays 6 p.m. – midnight, Saturdays, 6 p.m. – midnight, Sundays 1 – 6 p.m. 

Oktoberfest at Alpine Village

Alpine Village is the home of the oldest Oktoberfest celebration in Southern California. This year they are hosting their ‘Throwback Oktoberfest’ for their 51st-anniversary event. Instead of a tent, they will feature a ‘bier hall’ style celebration. Attendees will enjoy their award-winning sausages with cold Hofbrau beer.

Saturday, October 12, 19 and 26
Hours 4 – 8 p.m. 

Wurstküche Venice

Dust off your lederhosen and lace-up your dirndls; Wurstküche in Venice is hosting Oktoberfest 2019! Wurstküche brings out all the sausages and steins of Spaten to the sounds of live music. A costume contest encourages revelers to don their best dirndl or lederhosen for the occasion.

Orange County

Saturday, October 12
Hours 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. 

Beer and Graffiti Festival

Drink, Draw, Mix and Mingle at one of the most talked-about events. Everyone wears white t-shirts and writes on each other with sharpies. It’s a highly interactive event and a great way to meet new friends. Unlimited Sampling of 40+ craft beers, live music, and many new friends.Tickets here.
