Where To Find New Year’s Eve Dinners To-Go in LA

With the pandemic spiking with yet another variant, some restaurants have shifted their New Year’s Eve operations to address concerned diners. Below are a number of restaurants providing New Years’ Eve Dinners To-Go.

Echo Park

Tsubaki 

Chefs Charles Namba and Courtney Kaplan have pivoted and created a very special Japanese New Year’s 6 course menu. $150 for two people

  • Dry-aged ora king salmon tartare, yuzu pickled daikon
  • Assorted Japanese pickles
  • Market vegetable with sweet sesame dressing
  • Ikura Soba
  • Ozoni Soup (to enjoy on New Year’s Day)

Choice of:

  • Charcoal-grilled blue prawns, nira butter
  • Koji-and honey-marinated charcoal-grilled pork loin, curry butter
  • Braised short rib, honeynut squash, shaved fennel salad

Hollywood

Cat and the Fiddle Restaurant and Pub

Cat and the Fiddle continues to offer the best value for New Year’s Eve. Their three-course dinner to-go features

  • Mixed green salad or Corn Chowder
  • Corned Beef Cabbage, Black-eyed Peas and Roasted Potatoes or Nut Roast Wellington (vegan)
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding or Fresh Pear & Apple Crumble with custard

Serves one for $38 for Corned Beef entree or $30 for Nut Roast Wellington entree

Due to a high number of orders – all large orders may incur an extra 15-20 minute wait time for pickup.

Santa Monica Seafood

Santa Monica Seafood offers a variety of fresh seafood platters, from poke to shrimp to salmon. Platters are for retail store pickup only.

Socalo

Socalo just introduced some select meal kits suitable for two or more people. Diners can enjoy Beef Brisket Enchiladas, Green Chile Cheese Quesadillas, Lamb Birria Tacos, or a Vegetarian Tacos including Impossible chorizo, roasted veggie & jackfruit tinga, and all the fixings to make loaded tacos. Takuma

Takuma has prepared the Japanese traditional boxed feast called osechi. Dishes range from a Japanese Sweet Rolled Omelette, Sweetened Black Beans, Pickled Radish and Carrot Salad and much more. These dishes have a special meaning celebrating the New Year. Feeds 2 – 3. $59.99

Maple Block Meat Co

This year Maple Block is offering their signature NYE Meat Sampler Package, their Smoked Chicken and a Half Package and their Giant Beef Short Rib Package. Each package includes two classic sides, choice of buttermilk biscuits or cornbread, house pickles and a large house salad. Feeds 4 – 6 individuals. Must pre-order by Dec 30.

South Bay

Tin Roof Bistro

Tin Roof Bistro’s  NYE Feast for two to go features

  • Arugula and Brown Butter Pear Salad with Marcona Almonds
  • Garlic and Herb Rubbed NY Strip Loin with creamy horseradish
  • Black Truffle Mac and Cheese using fontina and mozzarella
  • Creamed Spinach with parmesan cream and nutmeg
  • Dark Chocolate Lava Cake with Handel’s Ice Cream

Dominique’s Kitchen

Chef Dominique Theval is featuring a four-course prix-fixe meal for only $89.99 per person. This menu is dine-in or take-out. 

  • Creamy Asparagus and Leek Soup
  • Black Truffle French country pate or an Assortment of Cheese, Dried Fruits and Nuts. 
  • Lobster Risotto with champagne cream and Parmesan cheese or Grass-fed Filet Mignon with Truffle Polenta Cake, market vegetables and cabernet sauvignon wine reduction. 
  • Mille Feuille with organic berries or six assorted macarons

N Café

Chef Yuichi Natori brings back his popular Holiday Party Tray and a Special Bento Box. His cheese and charcuterie trays are filled with quality cheese and cured meats, but also include gourmet offerings such as Baby Back Ribs with an Asian BBQ sauce, Roasted Duck Breast with yuzu pepper sauce and much more.

For single diners, the Holiday Special Bento Box is a special treat. Some of the items include Seared Ahi Tuna on seaweed salad, Salmon Shiokoji with yuzu teriyaki sauce, steamed garlic broccoli and asparagus, and Japanese pickles, steamed rick and miso soup.
