LA’s Parrot Heads are at it again. This time around, the Jimmy Buffett fan club remains united to “party with a purpose”. This month’s phlocking will be an island-themed potluck and will take place Saturday, Jan. 13 at Tiki-No in North Hollywood.
The event will feature an old-fashioned potluck with an island twist. Tiki-No will offer themed $6 drink specials: The “Margaritaville” (tequila, triple sec, lemon juice and cranberry juice) and “Parrot Head Punch” (Mount Gay 1703 Barbados rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, pink guava puree, red passion fruit syrup) served in a punch bowl over ice.
The Parrot Head crew will also take donations of blankets, housewares, or non-perishable food items. They will contribute them to the Unity Shoppe, which will benefit victims of the Thomas fires. A trop-rock and reggae soundtrack completes the afternoon of partying with a purpose—or a porpoise!
