Kosher Food and Wine Experience Returns to LA

January 13, 2018 by Bryan

The Kosher Food and Wine Experience (KFWE) is an annual event that brings world-acclaimed kosher wine and spirits to the U.S. KFWE LA is a sister event to KFWE London, New York, and Miami. KFWE LA will feature a selection of more than 300 wines as well as crafted spirits from across the globe. This event takes place on Feb. 7, 2018, at the beautiful Petersen Automotive Museum. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Kosher Food and WineThe evening will also spotlight some of the best kosher cuisine in the greater LA area. Some of the area’s finest chefs will dazzle foodies near and far with mouthwatering dishes. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a private lounge with a selection of rare and exotic wines, hand-rolled cigars, and a special menu of gourmet delicacies.

I attended last year’s event and was extremely impressed with the venue and the participants. The food experience was thoughtfully spread over two floors of the Petersen Automotive Museum. This allowed the crowds to effectively disperse throughout the museum and facilitated conversations with chefs and winemakers.

My knowledge of kosher wine was previously limited to Manischewitz. I was blown away to see varieties available from a wide range of countries: Canada, Spain, Chile, France, Argentina, New Zealand and of course, Israel.

Schwartz Bakery had an amazing number of desserts

Quite a few restaurants were on hand featuring their kosher food. Some of the participants this year include Schwartz Bakery, La Gondola, Tierra Sur, Meshuga 4 Sushi and Beverly Hills Thai. Schwartz Bakery had an amazing spread of beautiful and delicious desserts.

Even if you aren’t a car enthusiast, it is impressive to see their collection of vehicles. Often, these are extremely limited production classic cars, and custom vehicles as well as street racers. Since the vehicles weren’t encumbered by a glass partition, it was easy to take pictures.
