Drink Pink To Support Breast Cancer

October 9, 2017 by Bryan

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to increase awareness of this serious disease, there will be a huge number of pink things to buy, to eat and to drink this month. If you are seeking a sip for TGIF, a Happy Hour or just wishing to honor that special someone, here are a few restaurants that are supporting Drink Pink.

Redondo Beach

This month, R10 Social House will show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 15% of The Pink Lady proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The $12 cocktail is made up of muddled raspberries, vodka, St-Germain, lemon, egg white and juice to create one of the prettiest and tastiest drinks you’ll have all month. Nothing shows support like drinking to a good cause.

The Standing Room’s owner Lowell Bakke says, “My mother had breast cancer, so we’re willing to do anything to support the breast cancer community in the South Bay.” Towards that end, they have created a limited-time cocktail to support those who have been affected by breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon cocktail is made with Deep Eddy vodka, Grenadine pomegranate syrup, guava juice, and lime juice. For each drink purchase ($9), The Standing Room will donate $1 to the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach throughout October.

El Segundo

This month Paul Martin’s is featuring a special rose to support Drink Pink. For each glass of Hess Shirtail Ranches Rosé purchased, they will donate $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So, go pink and raise a toast to giving back.

The Hess Shirtail Ranches Rose is vibrant and juicy with a burst of fresh berry aromatics. Supported by acidity, the wine is full of strawberries and cream that lead to a mouthwatering finish and has been carefully crafted to pair beautifully with food. Enjoy it while the weather is still warm!

The sundae is made tableside with pink strawberry ice cream, whipped cream, nuts and hot fudge from C.C. Brown’s Ice Cream Parlor. Lawry’s will donate 100 percent of net proceeds from sales of the sweet treat to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. To support Drink Pink, Lawry’s has teamed up with J. “The Pink Capri” features aperol mixed with grapefruit, a touch of agave, and sparkling rose. It is served in a champagne flute and topped with St. Germaine foam. This drink is available at BOA.
