dineL.A. Restaurant Week Begins Friday, Jan. 11

January 4, 2019 by Bryan

dineL.A.’s Restaurant Week is a 14-day dining event that takes place biannually in the summer and the winter. The event showcases Los Angeles as a premier dining destination while highlighting the diversity of culinary experiences L.A. has to offer. This year the winter dineL.A. event takes place over 15 days from Friday, January 11 – Friday, January 25, 2019.

dineLA Restaurant Week

More than 400 restaurants across the metropolitan LA area will feature pre-fixe lunch and dinner menus. No tickets or passes required for Restaurant Week. Simply dine out at a participating restaurant, try a new dish or enjoy an old favorite. Due to the popularity of the event, advance reservations are recommended.

Participating restaurants will offer a special menu for lunch and/or dinner guaranteeing a 20% minimum value. A two-course lunch will be priced at $15, $20, $25, or $35. A three-course dinner will be priced at $29, $39, $49,or $59.

MB Post: Thai Shrimp with Spicy Panang Sauce, Sweet Potatoes, peanuts, Thai Basil and Lime

This is a great value. Earlier this year, my wife and I enjoyed the dineL.A. menu at MB Post. The best part about that meal was that I enjoyed seafood while my wife enjoyed Italian food. Last year, I also took advantage of a tasty three-course French meal at Taix.

dineL.A. also features an Exclusive Series. Some of this year’s select group of restaurants will create special tasting menus only available during dineL.A. These exclusive dinners start at $99. A list of featured restaurants is here. Last January, I also experienced the Exclusive Series dinner at BOA Steakhouse.

dineL.A. is a great opportunity to either enjoy one of your favorite restaurants at a reduced price or try out that LA Times 101 Best Restaurants in LA restaurant on your bucket list. Either way, you can’t lose.
